Age
Boys and girls ages 7 to 14 can play football with the WYFA. The kids are organized into the following four divisions:
- Terminator - 7 to 8 year old boys and girls
- Atom - 9 to 10 year old boys and girls
- Pee Wee - 11 to 12 year old boys and girls
- Bantams - 13 to 14 year old boys and girls
Division placement is determined by age and ability.
Kids that are ages 15 to graduation age can play high school football.
Season
Season
WYFA has two seasons: spring and fall. The spring season runs from early April to late June. The league practices twice per week starting indoors on Mondays at New Era and Wednesdays at St. Augustine for at least 2 weeks and then switching to outdoors on Tuesdays and Thursdays when the fields are dry at Crocus Plains High School as follows:
- Terminator and Atom: 6:00pm to 7:00pm
- Pee Wee and Bantam: 7:15pm to 8:45pm
Saturday games start at 9:00am and are played at Crocus Plains High School.
The Pee Wee and Bantam Wolverines are a continuation of the spring program for those who want to play in the fall. You do not have to participate in the spring program to play in the fall.

Fees are determined by year of birth as follows:
- Terminator Division (2007 - 2008) - $150
- Atom Division (2005 - 2006) - $175
- Pee Wee Division (2003 - 2004) - $200
- Bantam Division (2001 - 2002) - $225
Fees cover the following items:
- Use of full equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, knee/hip/tail pads, pants, belt) - Cleats and practice jerseys are NOT included
- Fee for service of Refs at Saturday games
- Football Manitoba fees (insurance and registration fees)
- Operational cost (website fees, field maintenance, league incidentals, etc.)
- Upkeep on general use equipment 9such as blocking pads, line markers, footballs, etc)
- Team pictures included too!
