If you have a kid who wants to play football in Brandon, MB, then you should check out Westman Youth Football Association (WYFA). Looking for some basic drills for a first time football player? Check out this Youtube video:
Boys and girls ages 7 to 14 can play football with the WYFA. The kids are organized into the following four divisions:
Division placement is determined by age and ability.
Kids that are ages 15 to graduation age can play high school football.
WYFA has two seasons: spring and fall. The spring season runs from early April to late June. The league practices twice per week starting indoors on Mondays at New Era and Wednesdays at St. Augustine for at least 2 weeks and then switching to outdoors on Tuesdays and Thursdays when the fields are dry at Crocus Plains High School as follows:
Saturday games start at 9:00am and are played at Crocus Plains High School.
The Pee Wee and Bantam Wolverines are a continuation of the spring program for those who want to play in the fall. You do not have to participate in the spring program to play in the fall.

Helmet, shoulder pads, knee/hip/tail pads, pants, and belt are all provided and included in the fees. The cleats and practice jerseys are not included in the cost.
