Brandon Amateur Radio Club

Brandon, Manitoba is home to the Brandon Amateur Radio Club.



Anyone interested in communicating with like-minded people via voice, morse code or computer.



Amateur radio (or Ham Radio) operators talk by two-way radio to other amateur radio operators.  To learn more about Ham Radio, check out this link or check out this youtube video:



  In order to become a ham operator in Canada, you need to write a free amateur radio exam administered by Industry Canada.  Once you pass the exam, Industry Canada asigns you a call sign and gives you a license.  Amateur radio operators broadcast for fun or public service only -- amateur radio cannot broadcast for money!!



 The Brandon Amateur Radio Club meets monthly (first Thursday of the month) at 7:00pm
